Annnouncing June 8 open house/workshop

for Lake Street design

What: Public meeting/open house for Lake Street Reconstruction and Streetscaping Project, East Segment, Hiawatha to the Mississippi River.

When: June 8, 2005. 5:00-7:00 pm.

Where: Brackett Park, 2738 39th Avenue South, Minneapolis

The Project Advisory Committee for Lake Street Reconstruction & Streetscaping invites all residents and businesses to attend this very important public meeting-open house.

Project managers and designers will be available starting at 5:00 pm to discuss the roadway and streetscaping plans with residents and businesses.

A presentation will follow concerning the proposed designs, special assessments, and timetable for City Council action and project construction.

A question-and-answer period will start at 6:00 pm, followed by an opportunity to fill out a questionnaire giving your responses to the plans, need for special assessments, and other project components.

Planning to determine the road and streetscape design of Lake Street east of Hiawatha Ave. has been underway since the summer of 2004. More information: www.lakestreet.info.
